The Inter-Tel Unified Messaging software consolidates voicemail, email and faxes into a single mailbox to maximize employee productivity and improve customer care. Users can access all of their messages in the office or on the road. Associates can use one tool to access all messages and reply with the most effective form of communication.
Unified Messaging offers simple integration to consolidate voicemail to an email address, or more advanced integration with a Microsoft® Outlook® client. The more advanced Microsoft Outlook integration offers the ability to create voice and fax messages from the desktop, create and manage personal distribution lists and a respond to incoming messages with different media.
Additionally, Unified Messaging includes the ability to receive incoming faxes and deliver outgoing faxes. The desktop client can create and deliver faxes to Inter-Tel advanced communications platforms for the end destination just as if a document is delivered to a printer.

Unified Messaging Open Standards Edition
Unified Messaging Open Standards Edition software is a new flavor of Inter-Tel Unified Messaging that reduces installation overhead and extends support to additional e-mail solutions. This software is supported for Enterprise® Messaging on Axxess® and Mitel 5000 Communications Platform (formerly Inter-Tel® 5000).
